One of the great unknowns, has always been the age old question. Is there life after death?
Storytelling, is one of the ways that helps us to understand the realm of the unknown. It also helps to explain what may await us, once we make the transition from life as we know it, to life after death. I for one, have always been too curious to simply leave it up to stories and legends, preferring to find the answers to questions for myself, by exploring places that most people seem to shy away from.
Ridge Cemetery at Williamsburg Hill is such a place. Hidden among the trees and underbrush, the cemetery is a very odd place. Although located off the main road, the graveyard is easily found by looking for a tall microwave tower at the top of the hill that can be seen for miles. When you arrive at the tower, turn immediately left and follow the narrow road for approximately a quarter of a mile. What you will notice, as you travel this road, is that you get a feeling that you are driving through a tunnel due to the close proximity of the trees to the road.
I have been to secluded and unusual locations before, many of which, I have investigated alone. What separates Williamsburg Hills Ridge Cemetery from other locations that I have been to, is that it sometimes gives off a feeling that you have taken a step back in time. A feeling as if you have discovered a lost world alive with some type of cosmic or spiritual intelligence. Other times you get the feeling of being watched or followed
Over the years, there have been stories about strange happenings at Williamsburg Hill. Many of the stories I have verified personally by interviewing eyewitnesses. Stories such as the The Woman in Black who has been seen on several occasions during the day. She has always been seen in one particular location in the cemetery. On one occasion she confronted a six year old girl, and asked the little girl, if she "Wanted to play with the children?" When the little girl didn't see the children and asked the lady where the children were. The woman simply said "Under the Ground!" Other tales of a well dressed elderly man, who simply asks the question, Can you tell me where the bars are? But when he speaks, his lips do not move. Tales of UFO's, cattle mutilations and sightings of strange orange and sometimes neon green balls of light have been seen. I have also witnessed much of what the Hill has to offer first hand and continue to go back to see if I can witness more!
